15 Insane E3 Announcements That Would Shock The World
5. Capcom Announces Resident Evil 2 & 3 HD REmakes
The Announcement: After releasing a remake of Resident Evil for the GameCube in 2002 and another HD remaster earlier this year, Capcom finally concede and decide to give the second and third games the ground-up HD remake treatment. How Likely Is It?: 4/10. It's tough to say: the GameCube remake suffered from poor sales which originally stopped Capcom from developing proper remakes of the two sequels (instead opting for laughably lazy ports), though with the undeniable success of the 2015 remaster, perhaps Capcom's interest in polishing the classic games will be renewed. It stands to reason that Resident Evil 7 is a far more likely announcement, but given how many fans consider Resident Evil 2 in particular to be one of the best games in the series (though it has aged not-so-great, largely thanks to those tank controls), Capcom could win back a lot of their jaded fans with this unveiling.
