15 Insane E3 Announcements That Would Shock The World

13. Silent Hills Is Saved From Cancellation

The Announcement: Despite Konami's immensely disappointing cancellation of the hotly-anticipated survival horror title Silent Hills, the game has been resurrected thanks to a last-minute deal, hopefully with Kojima Productions returning to it given their success with last summer's horrifying P.T. taster. How Likely Is It?: 2/10. It would be pretty embarrassing for Konami to pull a 180 so soon after cancelling the game, and given how much praise the teaser received, it doesn't seem likely that the company took this decision lightly. That said, the fickle nature of the business world means that it's not completely impossible, and given how a petition to save the game is close to reaching its 150,000 signature target, perhaps Konami will realise just how hopeful people are that the game will eventually see the light of day. Even if it is granted an eleventh hour save, don't expect to hear about it at E3: it would probably be much later in the year or, more likely, next year.
