12. Nintendo NX Is Fully Revealed
The Announcement: Despite again not delivering a conventional press conference at this year's E3, Nintendo could still reveal their follow-up to the Wii U, currently code-named Nintendo NX. Though little is currently known about it, it's been deemed a "brand-new concept", with many speculating that it may integrate both virtual reality peripherals and smartphone technology. How Likely Is It?:3/10. Nintendo will again be foregoing a traditional E3 press conference this year which isn't a great sign that they'll be giving much away, plus the fact that the Wii U is still such a young console and NX is clearly still in the early development stages point to this probably not happening. Never say never, though, as the fact that it's even being talked about ahead of E3 could be a not-so-subtle way to introduce the concept and build hype ahead of a shock reveal at the expo. If they nail it, it could help present a promising future for the company given the rather mediocre performance of the Wii U so far, especially right out of the gate.
