8. Deathclaws Are Actually Mutated Chameleons
This is a Deathclaw - you know the deadliest creature in the Fallout games? The one that chases you across the Wasteland and tears you limb from limb until your body spectacularly rag dolls through the air? It's called a Jackson's Chameleon and it became the Deathclaw you know and fear through genetic engineering, twinned with the DNA of other species. They were originally created to replace soldiers in close-combat situations before the world ended and the Master refined them into feral killing machines. Along the way they lost their ability to change colour, which is handy really, because they're bad enough already.
