15 Most Underrated Video Games Of The Decade (So Far)

8. The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings

Usually 'underrated' refers to critical reception, but it can also tie into general fan fervour after a title has released - hence The Witcher 2 being one of the best RPGs this side of Skyrim to emerge in the past decade, yet it gets almost none of the coverage.

Naturally it doesn't help when you launch in the same year as Skyrim, as asking fans if they want more of anything fantasy-related back then was like offering a nice juicy chocolate cake to someone already undergoing grease-induced cardiac arrest, but it stands that Andrzej Sapkowski's novel-turned-game sequel is essentially video games' equivalent of Game of Thrones - and that took a season or two to go thermonuclear anyway.

With this year's Wild Hunt coming out and developer CD Projekt RED refining the gameplay even more to make sure the widest possible audience can get on board with Geralt of Rivia's bounty hunter-esque ways, it's worth remembering Witcher's third-person action-RPG'ing with a side of sexual deviance and gory combat has always been fantastic.
