Bizarrely overlooked despite its Hollywood-aping visuals and solid cast, Until Dawn is possibly the finest horror game of the 2010s.

Not horror in the "it's gonna scare you into staying awake all night" kind, but more perfected teen horror. Character archetypes, gruesome deaths, semi-self aware dialogue and a myriad of "Who's the real villain?!" plot twists, this is every slasher/teen horror movie you love, made playable.

Its story really is the biggest draw, as a group of friends revisit the isolated mountain cabin where they once lost two companions. What follows is a choose-your-own-adventure tale with real ramifications and multiple endings, rolling together killers, bumps in the night and more than a handful of extremely satisfying jump-scares.
