WWE is making a conscious effort to restore the tag team division to what it once was. Having a mode that depicted all the great tag teams, and all the great tag team matches can only help it along. WWE uses six man tags all too frequently these days which has watered the concept down somewhat. Tag team matches should be reserved for specialist teams who know all the nuances of tag team wrestling. This way, all we'll see is killer matches instead of the filler we see on Raw seemingly every week. Arguably, the tag team division in WWE has hit two peaks. The late 80s/early 90s with the likes of The Rockers, Legion of Doom and Demolition plus The Attitude Era when the likes of The Hardys, The Dudleys, Edge and Christian plus The APA reigned supreme. Giving gamers the chance to relive some of these classic tag team matches, and showing them what great matches tag team bouts can be, will help the new crop of tag teams that are emerging in the WWE at the moment get over with fans.
