5. The Legend Of Zelda Becomes The Wii U's Best-Reviewed Exclusive
The Wii U is fast approaching its 2-year anniversary, and though the library is slowly beginning to fill up with great, well-reviewed games (Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 etc), it's not had the greatest start in life. Despite releasing a whole year before the PS4, Sony's console has obliterated it in worldwide sales, and Microsoft's Xbox One should also eclipse it in the coming months. But all hope isn't lost yet, because not only is the sure-to-be-smash-hit Super Smash Bros. Wii U due for release soon, but next year, the game almost every Wii U owner will surely buy, The Legend of Zelda Wii U, will be hitting stores. We caught our first glimpse of the game at this year's E3, where its open-world gameplay was briefly shown, which was enough to whip Zelda fans everywhere into a frenzy. The game looks great, the franchise has a near-flawless track record as far as core titles are concerned, and the switch to an open-world style opens the door to plenty of exciting new opportunities. Though it'd need to be pretty awesome to top Super Mario 3D World's 93 score on Metacritic, we think it can be done.
