15 Things Only Call Of Duty Fans Will Understand
13. Forgetting About Martyrdom While Playing Modern Warfare Remastered
Though it absolutely sucks that Modern Warfare Remastered was held to ransom by Activision, it's still a bloody good game. The classic shooter holds up over a decade later, and it can be a welcome palette cleanser to jump back into a few matches of Team Deathmatch to get away from the overwhelming battles of the latest Call of Dutys.
Of course, there's a few things you forget are included in that game which were omitted from other releases. Namely, how goddamn terrible the grenade spam is, and how frustrating the Martrydom perk can be.
When playing matches in Modern Warfare, it's expected that you're going to be insta-killed by a cooked grenade, but that's kind of easy to shrug off because it requires at least a touch of skill on the behalf of the other player. Martrydom... not so much though. That just sees your enemy drop a grenade when they die that will take you out if you're not paying attention.
It sucked in 2007 and it still sucks now.
