15 Things Only Video Game Completionists Will Understand

9. Multiplayer Achievements Can Be Mind-Numbingly Annoying

Multiplayer achievements can stem from extremely simple, like completing X amount of games, to so awful and luck-based they seem like torture. Most multiplayer achievements relate to a player's skill, and let's face it; if you aren't very skilled in a certain title's multiplayer, you may have no chance of seeing that achievement whatsoever. Titanfall (an online only multiplayer game, I know, so what was I expecting?) has an achievement for killing every single person on the other team by yourself during the ending evacuation stage of a round. Even if you get into a game with only your friends who sit back and don't fire a single shot, you'll still be working your ass off for this one. While I was lucky enough to actually get it, I'm the only one of my friends who has. Every time I mention it I am berated and yelled at because it was pure luck, so if you thought luck-based achievements were bad, try combining that with the unpredictability of online multiplayer. It's pure madness.

Just a gamer with an unhealthy addiction to achievements, fantasy booking WWE events and watching 90's teen comedies.
