15 Upcoming Games To Make An Xbox One Worth Buying
11. Gears Of War 4
Though it was initially worrying to hear that Microsoft had taken away the Gears franchise from developers Epic Games and handed it to untested studio Black Tusk, the fact that they soon thereafter hired the franchise's executive producer and director of production, Rod Fergusson, put a lot of people at ease. In May of this year, Fergusson confirmed that the game had been in the concept stages since February, though is still a long way off from any sort of official announcement or unveiling. Still, considering that Black Tusk is a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios, Fergusson suggests that this will allow for the game to enjoy more funding than previous Gears titles, and as a result, the potential to do so much more with the series is there. While there's understandable skepticism in having to bring an entirely new development team up to speed on the faithful mechanics of the franchise, the fresh perspective could result in a Gears game that dusts away the cobwebs and delivers something even better than what came before. Don't expect to hear much about this until late next year or maybe even 2016, but hopefully when that first trailer drops, it'll be worth all the mystery and anticipation. Release Date: TBA
