5. Chex Quest - Chex
Chex Quest is a licensed Doom mod that revolves around the cereal brand Chex. The game follows the Chex Warrior as he goes to save a planet from the evil Flemoids.
Yeah, it's nothing special but it was given away in cereal boxes so what do you expect?
The most notable aspect of Chex Quest is that it is one of the only advert games that a lot of people genuinely love. There are games that are just trying to sell you something that got ironic cult followings like Pepsi Man and Sneak King but Chex Quest is so popular that it became a franchise.
After the initial game, we got Chex Quest 2: Flemoids Take Chextropolis where the Flemoids attack a Chex-themed city.
There was then the much larger Chex Quest 3 which manages to feel like an actual game.
Finally, in 2020 a remake of the first game was made called Chex Quest HD, the game is available for free on Steam if you're interested for some reason.
