15 Video Games Made To Sell You Products

3. McDonald’s Treasure Land Adventure - McDonald’s

There have been a lot of McDonald's games. It makes sense, McDonald's has a recognisable cast of characters and is a big enough brand to splash some cash to get them in some video games.

Most of these are absolute trash of course as most advergames are. That just makes McDonald’s Treasure Land Adventure even more of an anomaly as it’s actually alright.

You control everybody's least favourite fast food mascot, Ronald McDonald as he travels through McDonaldland to find the pieces of a treasure map, because he apparently isn't content with just owning a multi-billion dollar company, HE NEEDS MORE.

It's nothing amazing, but it is a colourful game that is fun to control which is about as much as you could ask for from a game about McDonald's.

The game also doesn't rely too heavily on trying to sell you Happy Meals. Old Ron explores a fantasy world, not a McDonald's factory plastered with McDonald's ads. Sometimes when playing this you’ll forget that it's trying to sell you something which you can't say for most of the other games on this list.

Well done McDonald's you may have rapidly increased obesity but at least you made a half-decent game.
