WWE games' DLC packs have had a tendency to be must-buy since 2K took over, the exception to the rule being 2K20's 2K Originals packs where you got Franken Strowman, Pilgrim Rusev, and zombie versions of Sasha Banks, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Robert Roode, and Kassius Ohno.

Typically, though, you'll get the usual names that just missed the cut, maybe a few legends that were oddly left out - and then sometimes, you'll get something so random, so extraordinary, that you part ways with the few pounds/dollars/etc. just to obtain the pack.

WWE 2K16's Hall of Fame DLC, instead of simply featuring the respective Hall of Fame class, instead came as a spinoff Showcase Mode featuring classic matches of their career or, in Alundra Blayze's case, a dream match vs. Paige. Amongst the bouts was Randy Savage vs. Jake Roberts, Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ric Flair, and Larry Zbyszko and Arn Anderson vs. Ricky Steamboat and Dustin Rhodes.

Marking the first in-game appearance for Goldust in his WCW 'Natural' guise - he missed out on the WCW video game series - the bout was a digital recreation of the duos' Clash of the Champions XVII outing that saw Rhodes and Steamboat dethrone the Enforcers of the WCW World Tag Team titles.
