16 Crucial Questions For 2016's Most Anticipated Video Games
11. Is Mighty No. 9 A Kickstarter Failure?
Release Date: February 9 It's been over two years since the spiritual successor to Keiji Inafune's Mega Man reached its Kickstarter goal, and though the title certainly looks promising, some are getting worried that it's setting itself up to be a huge disappointment. Originally planned to release this past September, the game has been delayed by five months, and fans have vocally criticised the developers for failing to communicate game progress as well as the embarrassing situation where they Kickstarted their next game before this one was even finished, and hilariously, it didn't reach its target. We all want to believe that it's going to be a great game, but with an animated series and feature film in the works, could this simply be a case of a developer getting wildly ahead of themselves? Prediction: Reviews and impressions from the game's beta were positive albeit with qualifications, so it's probably best to expect a solid but not masterful game. It'll mostly live up to expectations and vindicate the ridiculous wait, unless you're hoping for a game-changing platformer.
