16 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2017
12. Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite
Of all the franchises and all the time periods to drop in, MvC: Infinite should've immediately had the world's attention. It's literally the only big-budget Marvel game of the year.
Shockingly though - and despite past entries being some of the most beloved fighting games of all time - Infinite gets almost every aspect completely wrong, rather like Street Fighter V. First up was a roster completely butchered thanks to Marvel wanting to maintain parity with their MCU, meaning no fan favourite X-Men like Wolverine or Cyclops - both of which were in past games.
Then we had all manner of broken combos that could be endlessly spammed to win, and a bolted-together "story" with some of the worst character models and voice acting you've ever witnessed.
Yes, embodying your favourite heroes is always going to be a blast, but the lack of real substance was staggering. From cheap plastic comprising its expensive deluxe edition to a general quality that felt rushed and neutered, MvC: Infinite is also one of 2017's most forgettable games.
