12. All The Brutal Kills - Aliens Vs. Predator

AvP is a crossover franchise that no one outside the original PC games of the noughties can seem to get right. When the series was again given a new lease on life in 2010, fans hoped it would finally be the escapist fever-dream they'd seen in both characters' movies and the awesome comic originals.

Sadly, it was not to be, but developers Rebellion knew the importance of Predators and their trophies, i.e. the claiming of skulls and their procurement by way of yanking straight off a foe's body.

Various finishing moves and brutal kills abounded as the first-person perspective really gave you an, ahem, 'detailed' glimpse into the life of the interstellar warrior race. Aliens might have acidic blood and head-bites, but a Predator will slice your head off and admire the moment - which is just that little bit more creepy.
