17 Things Only Overwatch Fans Will Understand
4. Getting Angrier Than You've Ever Been About Anything
Maybe it's just me - although I saw a few posts alluding to this not being the case online - but there's something about Overwatch that can be overwhelmingly annoying.
Like a child being denied sugar after binging on a few hundred pixie sticks, the game's vibrant and rounded aesthetic is like digital crack. You'll get a fix, two, ten and twenty in quick succession; firing off special attacks, winning matches at the last second and destroying the competition and then... you won't.
Suddenly you'll have a bad run, and everything turns on a dime. Those signature voice lines are just annoying, the special powers now infuriating. The characters you used to love controlling simply flailing and perishing under your lacklustre, passion-driven reaction times.
When Overwatch is working in your favour, it's like being fed chocolate on a rollercoaster as a beautiful member of the opposite sex fondles your fancy bits. But when it's not... damn, son.
