9. Prince Of Persia Reboot

After 2010's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was a commercial disappointment, Ubisoft announced that the series had been "paused", even as supposed concept art leaked out showing off an apparently new PoP game.

In many ways, this franchise is in the same boat as Splinter Cell: there's not much incentive for Ubisoft to rush a new entry, and they've got plenty on their plate to deal with as it is.

Still, fans have been hoping for a new entry for years now, and with 2016 having no core Assassin's Creed game, this could've been a fantastic time to re-introduce the series.

When Will We See It?: Maybe next E3, maybe not. The problem is in ensuring that it doesn't end up feeling too similar to Assassin's Creed, and of course, that's all the more challenging because a new PoP will almost certainly have open-world elements.
