16. Killer Croc's Lair

Remember when you first caught a glimpse of this ravenous beast as he stepped out of an elevator, thrashed about, and hissed a few threats about eating your bones?

If you're anything like me, your first thought was probably "I'm Batman, I can TOTALLY make a belt out of that thing if I tried and I've got at least five ways to do it without a cheap shot to the crotch" (it's easy to let the power go to your head).

But what you probably didn't see coming was just how ridiculously scary the whole confrontation would be, as it's easy to envision a scenario where you just knock him out with a well-aimed POW! and a few batarangs. However, that wouldn't be the case as running directly at Croc as he charged towards you was the last thing on your mind - mostly because you just couldn't wait to get the hell out of his lair.

It's like you never realized how vulnerable Batman could be until you were skulking through a tunnel without the slightest idea of where the big, bad Croc would come from - he could punch a hole in the makeshift bridge at any time, and the deeper you went, the more frequent his attacks became.

Be honest now: those last few moments when Croc eclipsed the mouth of the tunnel as he lunged toward you made sweat run into your eyeballs, didn't it? Same here.
