17. The City Of Fear (Knight)

Remember that scene at the tail-end of Batman Begins when Gotham City was flooded with fear toxin? I'm betting that you probably experienced a flash of deja vu in the latter half of Arkham Knight as you watched Gotham tear itself apart through panic.

After Arkham Knight activates the Cloudburst and smothers Gotham in fear gas, Batman's left scrambling for a way to put an end to the madness. But with the Batmobile's power core fried after the detonation, the Dark Knight's options are limited. Batman being Batman though, he eventually discovers a way to outfit the Batmobile with a power cell that kickstarts the ol' tank-on-wheels.

But first, the Dark Knight has to plow through the toxic clouds engulfing the city below, and therein lies the problem - the longer he's exposed to the gas, the deadlier the effects. With little choice in the matter, Batman soars to the streets below, and as you approach ground level, you're given a view of a nightmarish Gotham City transformed by fear - with black clouds rumbling above, and crazed Gothamites tearing at each other's throats.
