6. Realising They Fixed Assassin's Creed - AC: Syndicate
Like when a band releases another followup album after their time in the sun has turned to dusk, people have moved on from Assassin's Creed, and that's a bit of a shame, because Syndicate is the best entry since Black Flag. Obviously that wouldn't take much, as the entire point of this entry is to highlight how awesome it feels to finally control an AC game that's responsive and fun, as oppose to the cavalcade of overlapping animation priorities that was 2014's AC: Unity. Syndicate on consoles does have the occasional framerate hiccup depending on how high you climb, but from your first steps into Victorian London to visiting Buckingham Palace, establishing an HQ on a moving train and carrying out scores of fun missions using all your abilities, AC is back on track - it's just a shame those rails are heading into a ditch no matter what.
