5. The Death Wish Level - Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rf7JxcQwhM Hotline Miami's sequel appeared to put far too many people off who really disliked its refocus on ranged weaponry over the slicing and dicing melee combat of the original, but don't let general opinion fool you - there are still plenty of up close n' gruesome levels to get stuck into. Death Wish is probably the best of the bunch, putting you in the shoes of some fans who idolise the work of the original protagonist, as they decide to murder an entire plaza full of henchmen. You play as each in turn, making it four levels in one, but it's the stomping, brash assault of techno beats and synthesisers backing you up that excels everything to another plane entirely. Slaughtering your way through droves of enemies and spraying the walls with claret is fun in itself, but having some of the best synthwave music in history power your response times and actions makes this even better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFfybn_W8Ak
