13. Taming A Sabertooth Tiger - Far Cry Primal

For better or worse, Far Cry looks to be Ubisoft's 'new Assassin's Creed' - which is to say, they're going to be darting across the globe and through time to deliver subsequent instalments.

Primal proved that in spades, applying the series' formulae and mechanics to a setting comprised of ancient man. The best bit though - after you've accepted your man Takkar can straight-up talk to animals - is unlocking a saber-toothed tiger to ride on.

Formerly the beasts that'll tear you to shreds, there's nothing cooler than ripping through a pack of A.I. tribesmen, commanding your new fang-toothed buddy to throw their bodies left and right, and then hopping on its back to mop up any stragglers.

Far Cry is at its best when acting as a pure power fantasy, and nothing exemplifies that more than weaponising one of the most dangerous animals of all time.
