14. Every Establishing Shot When You Land - Ratchet & Clank

When Insomniac first announced they were returning to Ratchet & Clank, it garnered something of a mixed reception. The series had been fluctuating in quality for years, so the idea of "going back to the series' roots" was either going to be its salvation, or proof developer Insomniac were out of ideas.

Thankfully, it was the former, and literally every single time you land on a planet, you can just hear the coding department nudging you with their elbow, whispering, "Looks good, right??", a stupidly massive grin plastered across their collective faces.

Honestly, when you've put this much effort into updating an already beloved game, making it feel distinguishable in the modern era, having the camera zoomed way out at the beginning of each level is the perfect way to show that all off.
