5. The Order: 1886
Easily a winner for the 'I can't believe that's not a cutscene'-award, by introducing some Evil Within-style black borders it's freed up some screen-space and allowed former PSP-only developer Ready at Dawn to unveil something that genuinely looks jaw-dropping. Gamers aren't so easily fooled when it comes to pre-release footage, thanks to the stupidly misleading Killzone 2 release trailer turning out to be CG back in 2005, or last year's release of Watch Dogs looking like it needed a few more passes through the art department, but so far everything about The Order looks spot-on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpfpL-e9vPo Featuring a gun that lets you douse enemies in an accelerant before setting them all alive in one visually-stunning explosion and the fact that Ready at Dawn themselves successfully made the scope and scale of God of War work on the PSP, The Order is set to scratch that third-person cover-shooter itch Gears of War used to have down-pat.
