19 Predictions For This Fall's MetaCritic Gaming Scores
6. Star Wars: Battlefront
MetaCritic Score: 86 What To Expect: Battlefield re-skinned, and that's pretty much OK, or at least enough to earn the game solid reviews, with the added Star Wars nostalgia giving it a few extra points above DICE's flagship series. With DICE and EA it's probably safe to expect a bumpy ride upon release, but the BF games have consistently proven one thing (yes, even with Hardline): when they work, they're insanely fun and ridiculously addictive. Given the enormous expectations considering that it's been a decade since the last game, anything below a 90 score will probably disappoint some, but it's important to remember that an 86 score will still be the series' highest to date (the first two games ranged from 76-84), and likely ensure it's one of the most entertaining multiplayer experiences of the year. Game of the Year isn't too likely, and it's destined to have its share of gripes, but the core gameplay would have to do so much wrong to truly disappoint. Release Date: November 17 (US), November 20 (EU)
