19 WTF Moments From Quantum Break

14. Aidan Gillen's Glorious Overacting

Quantum Break
Reedy

Aidan Gillen is one hell of an actor, and he's easily the most enjoyable performance-based aspect of the game. He also happens to have graduated from the Gary Oldman School of Overacting here, perhaps somewhat aware that he's not exactly performing in a totally coherent sci-fi opus, and having an appropriate amount of hammy fun as a result.

That's not to say that he disrespects the material, but the fact that players have the opportunity for Paul Serene to surrender to his Chronon Syndrome and basically lose his grip on reality gives Gillen plenty of opportunity to just go totally, brilliantly off-the-rails.

Flying in the face of a game that probably takes itself too seriously too often, his nutty charm is highly refreshing indeed.
