20 Announced Video Games That Are NEVER Coming Out
11. Instinction
It is quite the story when a game literally gives birth to a studio instead of it being the other way around. It then becomes a rather sad story when that same game fails to make it to release (yet). This has been case with Instinction and its developers Hashbane Interactive who were propped for the purpose of producing and releasing the game. The action adventure game, set in a world where dinosaurs co-exist with humans in modern times, became official in 2021.
If the game's synopsis seems to be giving Dino Crisis then that was very much the idea. The team working on the game were massive fans of Capcom's dinosaur survival classic. Instinction was very much intended to serve as a spiritual successor to Dino Crisis. Initially slated for a 2022 release, the project soon managed to secure additional funding, leading to a considerable expansion of scope.
This led to the release being pushed to 2025. That obviously did not come to pass and there's not really been any updates since. All we can do now is hope that the game doesn't face extinction before ever making it onto consoles.
