8. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
NintendoMetal Gear Solid is still to this day one of the best video games ever made, but going back to the PS1 original now is a bit of an eyesore on a 40 inch HD screen. Luckily for us, Nintendo got the Eternal Darkness team to work on fully-fledged remake for their loveable little 'Cube. Running on an upgraded version of the Metal Gear Solid 2 engine, Twin Snakes was not only stunning, but also added the much-loved first-person perspective and the tactical ability to hang from rails from the second game. While some complain about the edited cutscenes, the visual upgrade and new gameplay options make this remake the best option fans currently have to replay the original. A brilliant remake that really helped to add another jewel into Gamecube's glistening game lineup, it remains an utterly essential Gamecube title.
