20 Best Nintendo Games Of The Decade
17. Fire Emblem: Three Houses
The problem with doing a list like this in the last year of the decade is that a lot of great games came out in 2019 and we just haven't had the time to either finish or truly internalize the experience of them yet. At least not to the same extent that we have for the others on this list.
With that said we would be kicking ourselves if we left off Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Fire Emblem was in a rut for the longest time, unable to get the kind of mainstream appeal that it needed to stay afloat. But thanks to an entry that we'll get to in a bit, it managed to earn its place as essentially Nintendo's answer to Game Of Thrones: a gritty, bloody war drama where people die left and right for little reason save for poor planning. And also, presumably, a LOT of f*%king is going on behind the scenes.
The gameplay has been enhanced and polished to a mirror shine compared to previous entries. And while it hasn't been out long enough for us to confidently say it's the best of the bunch, it definitely deserves a spot on this list.
