20 Best Nintendo Games Of The Decade
14. Kirby's Epic Yarn
Late into the Wii's lifespan, you would think that Nintendo was all out of creative ideas for the console. Well Nintendo has always been many things, but predictable is almost never one of them.
Kirby's Epic Yarn is probably the last direction anyone ever expected the Kirby series to go in, right up there with FPS looter shooter and point and click adventure game. You can't suck anything because you are literally just a circle of yarn, but on the plus side you can't die either. Yeah, there were more than a few think pieces at the time this came out decrying it as not being a "real game" or some other such nonsense because of this.
Which is silly, of course, because if you actually sit down and play it, it's one of the best Kirby games ever made. And this is a series that has NEVER gone below the 7/10 score in almost 30 years, so that is an accomplishment. It's adorable, creative, relaxing to play, all in all the perfect kids game to get a younger relative into the medium.
