20 Best Nintendo Games Of The Decade
15. Arms
With the coming of the Switch came a lot of things that no one really expected. One of them was a brand spanking new IP in the form of Arms. A 3D fighting game centered around the ability to extend your arms across the field and hit your enemy from really far away. Whether because the fighter has sentient hair or springs for arms, you can hit your opponent from across a timezone in this game.
Add onto this Nintendo's usual penchant for giving us colorful, unique universes filled with odd lore that goes 100% unquestioned (you are not born with the Arms, you just kinda wake up with them. And everyone who does just kinda rolls with it) and memorable characters that are a ton of fun to play as, and you have a recipe for an instant hit.
It's unclear whether or not we'll get a sequel to this game. Sure, it's been a while, but Luigi's Mansion took a decade to get a sequel, so never say never. We sure hope one comes soon, because this is a universe we wouldn't mind revisiting.
