The miracle that no one expected and everyone subsequently rejoiced over - DOOM on Switch!

Another example of a developer testing the waters, iD Software are still planning on bringing the mighty Wolfenstein II to the Switch in 2018, but as proof Nintendo's little machine can handle one of the most impressive games of the generation, DOOM loses very little in the conversion.

Segmenting the campaign and multiplayer into separate executables/downloads is the only thing that really sticks out, as every part of the game's immaculate campaign, liquid butter gunplay and stupidly OTT glory-kills are present and correct.

There really isn't any FPS quite like this on consoles, and as I said last year, "take gore-soaked levels, varied enemy design, phenomenally powerful weapons and pack it all in with extra dynamite - DOOM is the resulting explosion, and everything you'd expect from a true veteran of the industry."
