20 Best Sci-Fi Video Games Of All Time

4. Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect 2
Bioware

Although their reputation has taken a major hit over the years, BioWare were was considered the best at developing action-adventure role-playing games, with games like Baldur’s Gate and Dragon Age often used to back up this claim. But it was the Mass Effect series that made Bioware stand out amongst their competitors, and Mass Effect 2 was Bioware at their peak.

Mass Effect 2 took everything that was great about the first game and made it bigger and better. Combat felt more refined, dialogue options were more fleshed out and the Milky Way had more interesting and deadly worlds for you to explore.

It was in this game that Bioware added a bunch of side story missions that, if completed would have an impact on the ending of the game and the fate of some of your companions.

As players battle their way across the stars as Commander Shepard, they must assemble as large a crew as possible in order to give them the best chances of completing the famous last mission in a daring suicide run.

Mass Effect 2 was mailed ahead of the competition for a while and still stands the test of time today.
