13. Spider Girl - Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons

As well as being one of the most inventive and original games of the last how-ever-many years, Brothers was a triumph of creativity and gameplay. If everybody at Starbreeze who worked on the game isn't currently sitting on a tropical island being fed grapes, then there's something wrong with the world.

Assigning an analog stick to each of the two brothers in question, the game offers an experience that constantly requires you to have two trains of thought running at once, and nowhere is this more challenging than during the fight with Spider Lady.

Add to this the stunning and genuinely unsettling reveal of the monster in the moments prior, and it's one of the most fun and ingenious boss battles of any decade.
