After years of being the industry's worst kept secret, Devil May Cry 5 was officially announced at E3. It was surprisingly Microsoft rather than Sony who unveiled the long-awaited sequel though, proving the recent leaks wrong that it was going to be a PS4 exclusive.

Doing away with the 2013's rebooted universe and returning to Nero and Dante's story for the first time in 10 years, the trailer essentially gave fans everything they had been craving. The combat itself looked as spectacular as ever, while the first look at the protagonists offered an interesting insight into where we're picking up with these characters, with Dante in particular looking far older and grizzled than ever.

Even better, Capcom ended the reveal with a release date: Spring 2019. While it could theoretically get pushed, the developers confirmed they've been working on the sequel for years now, meaning players should be able to get their hands on it sooner rather than later.
