20 Best Video Game Reveals From E3 2018

15. Halo: Infinite

With it being nearly three years since Halo 5 released to a mixed reception, everyone expected to see what 343 Studios had in store for Microsoft's signature property at E3. And while the franchise certainly showed up, with a reveal trailer for Halo: Infinite opening the showcase, it wasn't made clear whether fans were seeing the sixth game in all its glory, or merely a spinoff.

Even now, at the time of writing a few days removed from its unveiling, it's not entirely clear what Infinite is. The trailer promised Master Chief's battle for Earth, but the actual footage shown, from stampeding animals to soldiers driving warthogs, looked surprisingly janky, and not up to the quality of other Xbox One X showcases.

Consequently, many have jumped to the conclusion that what they saw could have been an MMO, or at least a large multiplayer experience rather than a straight sequel. Whatever it ends up being though, it's just nice to know that the Chief is back.
