20 Best Video Game Reveals From E3 2018
13. Dying Light 2
After Dying Light surprised everyone by not only being a bloody good zombie game, but a great first-person platformer in general, a sequel seemed inevitable - especially once it popped up on the fabled Walmart Canada leak.
However, while many suspected that it would show up in one form or another over the weekend, nobody had any idea just how different the game was going to look from the original. Expanding upon the core combat and parkour, it was actually the story (notoriously the weakest part of the 2015 release), which received the most attention.
Primarily, the trailer dove into how your actions will shape the world of the sequel going forward. Instead of being thrown into a sandbox and simply attempting to survive, this time around players will be changing the very shape of it, with the way they complete missions having an allegedly huge impact on the characters and environment.
Whether that promise will end up effecting the sequel in a substantial way will only be known once players have the game themselves, but even without that element, Dying Light 2 still looks like a solid successor to the original surprise hit.
