Its world is gorgeously rendered and detailed, characters are memorable and identifiable, and villains arrive on a soundtrack that has that Shinra swagger from Final Fantasy VII:

In short, it's a side-scrolling platformer with auto-targeting gunplay so you can stay on the move while taking out enemies and swinging around with your handy wrench.

Outside of that? A more lighthearted 1984-meets-environmentalist comment on the state of our world, touching upon everything from conformity to reliance on technology, morality to superpowers.
