19. Unravel Two

Few things are as lovable as Unravel's aesthetic; the heart-meltingly twee combination of characters made of yarn running through levels inspired by idyllic countryside snapshots resulting in unadulterated, pure joy.

A physics-based platformer, Unravel Two lets you play the whole thing in co-op, sharing yarn strands as ways to bounce up to higher platforms, or as a lifeline to swing your partner from one place to the next.

Best of all, Coldwood Interactive thought of a handful of ways to make their intricate levels work, regardless of either player's skill level. You can yarn-blend yourselves together so a more experienced gamer can tackle the tougher parts, and the aforementioned climbing mechanics mean you're always giving each other a hand over the more daunting chunks of later levels.

Clocking this only unlocks far more challenging levels - real tests of skill and harnessing of the game's physics to overcome. Outside of that though, it's a gorgeous little game about the benefits of companionship, understanding, belonging and exploration.
