Release Date: April 2. What It's About: A racing game built by the developer and the community together (without the traditional publisher role), intended to reflect various motorsports as accurately as is possible. The Buzz: With its unconventional developmental approach and commitment to both gorgeous visuals and giving the player full access to content from the beginning, CARS is touting itself as a completely different experience to its competitors such as Forza and Gran Turismo. Will It Be Any Good?: It was originally due for release last year, and has been delayed twice to its current April date. Hopefully this means that Slightly Mad Studios are taking their time to deliver an original entry in a genre that too often sticks to the path most traveled. Instinct says it'll be great, but unless you're a proper petrolhead, probably best to stick it out for the reviews.
