20 Biggest Games Of 2015: What Do We Already Know?
16. Dead Island 2
Release Date: March-June. What It's About: The long-awaited follow-up to 2011's hit survival horror RPG, this time shifting the action to sunny California. The Buzz: The significantly larger scale of this game will be the biggest selling point to many, and while Techland didn't return to develop it (they opted for Dying Light instead), Yager Development delivered a cult classic with their last game, 2012's Spec-Ops: The Line. Hopefully this means they'll bring a little more intelligence, nuance and character depth to a series sorely in need of it. Will It Be Any Good?: The first game was a fun if relatively forgettable jaunt despite strong commercial success, and with a fresh new creative voice, this could easily better the original in practically every way. Fingers crossed, but on paper, the answer is definitely yes.
