When the daughter of the titular demigod is kidnapped, Asura's Wrath follows the vengeful protagonist as he embarks on a rage-fuelled mission to defeat those responsible. Featuring destruction on a cosmic level alongside some stunning animation, this game plays out like an over-the-top anime series in the best possible way.

One of this title's most brilliantly outlandish moments is found during the true ending when Asura confronts the real final boss, Chakravartin, the all-powerful god of creation who was secretly influencing everything that transpired.

What follows is a final showdown of epic proportions. The entire fight lasts upwards of 30 minutes and consists of several phases that include a space battle and vicious beatdowns. However, as this grand confrontation nears its climactic conclusion, the once unstoppable being begins to fail his own quick-time events, essentially winning the fight for players.

The sequence serves as a clever way for developers to show that the boss is losing his strength and composure as he becomes overwhelmed by Asura's unrelenting fury.

It's a phenomenal finale to what is a spectacular game. The only downside is that this ending was part of a DLC that players had to pay for the privilege of experiencing.
