Making an already amazing game even better, Persona 5 Royal is the definitive way to experience Atlus's acclaimed JRPG. Alongside adding quality of life improvements and hours of new content, this version likewise made meaningful tweaks to the combat.

One of these changes came during the fight against Shadow Kaneshiro, a twisted manifestation of a greedy mafia boss.

In a departure from the original encounter, Kaneshiro now begins the fight in his giant piggy bank mech, Piggytron. With the mech capable of inflicting eyewatering amounts of damage to the whole party with a single attack, the greatest challenge at this point is surviving. Things don't get any easier once Kaneshiro abandons his mech and summons a hitman and bodyguard to fight for him.

Once the mafia boss reaches half health, he deploys a devastating new attack called Make it Rain, which hits the Phantom Thieves for 70% of their current health. However, when he tries this attack for a second time, he discovers that he's run out of money. Without the funds needed to pay his goons, they simply walk away.

With Kaneshiro left completely defenceless, players are free to pummel him in a cathartic conclusion to this arduous fight.
