20 Classic Nintendo Games That Desperately Deserve Sequels

2. Pokemon Snap

This is possibly one of, if not the most obvious one on the list (#1 won't be so obvious, promise!). People have been calling for a new Pokemon Snap since the one and only original appeared on the Nintendo 64 in 1999. In the years that have followed, graphics technology has greatly improved, and there have been approximately 1.21 gigajillion new Pokemon released, which would just so happen to be every single new Pokemon created since the original game. So obviously, a sequel is overdue. In addition to the graphic and roster updates, controls are now in a different place, too. Pokemon Snap was basically an on-rails shooter where what you shot was a camera, so rather than move a reticule with an analog stick, there are more natural options, such as using a Wii Remote to point and click, or even the Wii U GamePad as a mock digital camera with its own viewscreen. They could also push something different on the Nintendo 3DS with its Augmented Reality capabilities. Pokemon Snap also had a unique feature wherein players could bring the copies of the game into Blockbuster Video (or Lawson in Japan) to print out the photos they took in the game on real-life stickers. Blockbuster is dead now, but as noted in previous entries, Nintendo has so much more that could work with this: Miiverse, Twitter, and so on.
