20 Classic Nintendo Games That Desperately Deserve Sequels

1. Clu Clu Land

Just kidding. With that said, we do think there is some promise here on the premise alone: Evil Sea Urchins have stolen and buried all the gold bars from the underwater kingdom of Clu Clu Land, and it's up to Bubbles to uncover them while blasting the urchins with a shockwave. We could see this fitting an all-ages first-person shooter concept with Capture the Flag elements in the form of the gold bars. Then again, the recently-announced Splatoon is already treading similar territory. Barring that, something multiplayer on Wii U could be fun. Create your own courses by drawing pictures with the golden bars and sharing them online, or using a GamePad to control enemies while another player uses a controller to move Bubbles. They just need to fix that control scheme first. Incidentally, Bubbles was included as a secret character in DK: King of Swing, so maybe the game has something of a spiritual sequel already?
