20 Clever Video Game Easter Eggs You Didn't Understand
1. Always Do The Unexpected - 007: First Light
007: First Light is an incredible addition to the expansive roster of James Bond games. Not only is the game an action-packed adventure the likes of Uncharted, but it's also full of clever little mechanics and secrets that make you appreciate it more the more you play it.
However, the greatest of these secrets is actually the one that happens right at the start of the game.
During the training section in Matla, James is required to traverse an obstacle course and capture a flag as part of his test. Your handler tells you to "always do the unexpected," and while you may think this applies to throwing off your enemies on the obstacle course, you can actually go even more unexpected than that.
If instead of heading into the training zone, you walk around it through the viewing area, you can actually skip past the entire training section and grab the flag instantly.
This will obviously shock your supervisors, to which James will proudly exclaim, "Always do the unexpected," but of course, despite the unorthodox method, this will count as acing your exam.
It's honestly such a great hidden moment that manages to capture the spirit of James Bond while also rewarding the player for thinking outside the box.
