Super Paper Mario is a cheeky RPG that loves to toy with the player. Most interactions in the game are either a hidden joke or a prank, so you'd be wise to learn to anticipate the next punchline at some point.

Otherwise, you might pay the literal price for your ignorance with Blappy.

Blappy is one of the aliens from Planet Blouble who offers to sell Mario the Ancient Clue that will lead him to the “Big Treasure of Space” (in reality, it’s one of the Pure Hearts, which you collect as part of the main story).

The price of the clue is quite steep, as Blappy wants 1,000 coins for it. However, if you decline his offer, the alien will actually lower the price.

Just make sure you don’t overdo it, because even though refusing the offer once will lower the price to 100 coins and doing so again to just 10 coins, if you get greedy and fall for the game’s bait, the third time around Blappy will get angry at you and irreversibly leave the price at 1,000.

Unless you want to cough up an insane amount of coins, learn to cash out at the right time.
