20 Dumb Choices That Will DESTROY Your Game Save
4. Mole-Rat Disease - Fallout 4
The quest “Hole in the Wall” from Fallout 4 has you uncover the secrets of Vault 81 to save a young boy named Austin from a seemingly incurable mole rat disease.
However, if you’re not careful, you might end up catching something permanent yourself in the process.
During the mission, you discover a hidden research facility underneath Austin’s underground home. It turns out that Vault-Tec built Vault 81 to secretly develop cures for viral diseases by releasing them on the bunker's population. The scientists died before they could finish their research, leaving the hidden wing abandoned and crawling with a horde of highly infectious mole rats.
Now, since Austin was infected due to one of these oversized rodents biting him, the smart player will do their best to avoid the mole rats' attacks.
However, if you don't, the rodents will infect you with their disease without the game informing you about it, giving you a permanent debuff to your health.
The only way to cure this condition is to use the cure you were supposed to recover for Austin, and if you didn’t bother to check your stats, chances are, you’re going to give it to the kid or sell it before you realize you need it.
Enjoy your incurable disease!
